Financial Analyst (2)


Our client is currently seeking 2 professionals to serve as Financial Analysts in their Corporate Finance Group in Philadelphia. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

The Financial Analyst will work closely with Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Asset Management business and Financial Advisory business. The Financial Analyst will also work with project managers, business leaders, senior managers and other members of the business to provide and assist with financial analysis, business analysis, management reporting and business intelligence. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for some treasury and finance functions relating to budgeting, financial forecasting, cash management, risk management, acquisition modeling, business development, project finance and corporate finance.

Specific responsibilities may include: financial reporting, financial forecasting, budgeting, researching various new business initiatives, performing fundamental analysis for acquisition targets, assisting with the execution of hedging transactions, debt covenant calculation and debt management, liquidity forecasting, securities and/or industry trend compilation and analysis; running and developing customized analytical spreadsheets; creating customized charts based on the data extracts; running and developing reports for management and business leaders;

The person will also interact with other business units to take on various research, financial analysis and market development projects.

Qualifications

A 4-year college degree with a strong academic background is required. CPA, CMA, CFA designations or Master’s degree is a plus. We welcomes resumes from professionals with experience in and who continue to be interested in accounting, finance, financial analysis and corporate finance. Successful candidates come from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds. Appropriate level of experience for this position would be 7 to 10 years.

Solid understanding of accounting, finance, financial analysis and capital markets

Interest in problem solving, finance, capital markets, government, mathematics, and computers
Strong mathematical aptitude; solid analytical and writing skills
Proficiency with MS Office products, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Working knowledge of MS Access or similar database programs
Ability to be productive independently or in a team environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Creativity and initiative
Eagerness to learn
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Relevant work experience
Commitment to excellence & ability to take ownership of one’s work
Leadership potential
Bloomberg Terminal experience a plus
