Eric Sivin is a Managing Director of Howard-Sloan Legal Search and leads our Partner Placement practice.

Prior to joining Howard-Sloan, Eric was the founding partner and principal of Sivin Tobin Associates, a prominent New York based legal search firm.  With more than thirty years of successful legal search experience, Eric has assisted law firms nationwide with their strategic growth through the recruitment of leading practitioners, significant groups and key acquisitions. He was instrumental in effecting one of the first large firm mergers in New York.  Eric’s clients range from small local boutiques to top tier national and international law firms.

Mr. Sivin has been the Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC). He has written, spoken, and served on many panels pertaining to partner recruiting.

He is a graduate of Brandeis University and NYU School of Law, where he won NYU's Moot Court Competition and was a semi-finalist in the National Moot Court Competition. Before embarking on his legal search career, Eric practiced as a commercial litigator in New York.
